Prepare to Sell
Our agents are experts at working with sellers to get their homes in show-ready condition, but there are some things you may want to get started on right away.
- Curb Appeal: Keep your landscape clipped and neat, and add creative yet simple touches to your yard, such as colorful annuals.
- Property Repairs: Simple upgrades such as window repairs, polished or updated doorknobs, and a fresh coat of neutral paint in the most frequently used rooms will instantly brighten your home.
- Cleanliness and Staging: Give your home a deep clean—including the carpets—and declutter, depersonalize, and neutralize. Clear off your countertops, remove personal family and religious mementos, and tone down colors that may keep a prospective buyer from being able to imagine living in your home. Pay attention to the little details, too: Put away the kitty litter, place a vase of fresh flowers near the entryway, or pop a batch of cinnamon rolls in the oven. It’s all about first impressions!
- Showtime: Presenting and showcasing your property to potential buyers is a job we love. We’ll represent your interests when speaking with prospective buyers, and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
